Dr. Stephen Petteruti is a board-certified physician with more than 30 years of clinical experience in family medicine, obesity medicine, hormone optimization, functional medicine, and longevity-focused care. Throughout his career, he has treated thousands of patients while developing clinical protocols that integrate traditional medicine with emerging research in metabolism, hormone health, and healthy aging.

As Founder of Intellectual Medicine University, Dr. Petteruti oversees curriculum development, clinical education, and evidence review across all educational programs. His focus is helping healthcare providers translate complex medical science into practical, patient-centered care.

Shannon Petteruti is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in functional medicine, hormone optimization, weight management, longevity medicine, and practice development. Throughout her career, she has helped thousands of patients improve their health through personalized, evidence-informed care that focuses on preserving muscle, optimizing metabolic health, and promoting long-term vitality.

As Co-Founder of Intellectual Medicine University, Shannon combines extensive clinical experience with decades of business leadership to help healthcare providers build successful, patient-centered practices. She has developed educational programs that translate complex clinical concepts into practical systems providers can confidently implement in their own practices.

In addition to her clinical work, Shannon is an accomplished entrepreneur and nationally recognized speaker. She has been featured in INC Magazine for her work in healthcare innovation and has consulted with practices across the country on operational excellence, patient experience, clinical workflows, and business growth.

As Vice Chair of the IMU Advisory Board, Shannon provides leadership in curriculum development, provider education, practice implementation, and strategic planning. Her passion is equipping healthcare professionals with the knowledge, systems, and confidence needed to deliver exceptional patient care while building sustainable, thriving practices.

Elizabeth Mitchko is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of clinical and healthcare leadership experience spanning pediatrics, acute care, functional medicine, hormone optimization, and provider education. Throughout her career, she has combined clinical expertise with operational leadership to improve patient care, develop scalable clinical systems, and support healthcare providers in successfully implementing evidence-based medicine.

As Director of Education & Provider Engagement and Director of Provider Network & Protocol Operations at Intellectual Medicine University, Elizabeth leads provider education, certification, onboarding, and implementation initiatives designed to help clinicians confidently integrate advanced protocols into their practices. She develops educational curricula, clinical resources, standard operating procedures, and implementation strategies that bridge the gap between medical knowledge and real-world practice.

Drawing from her background in hospital medicine, functional and integrative medicine, and multi-site clinical leadership, Elizabeth works closely with providers to optimize clinical workflows, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the patient experience. Her passion lies in making complex clinical concepts practical, accessible, and sustainable for busy healthcare professionals.

Keith advises clients on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, and strategic business decisions, helping organizations build strong financial foundations while navigating an increasingly complex regulatory environment. His practical approach combines technical accounting expertise with business insight to help organizations make informed decisions that support sustainable growth.

Dr. Matthew Bernstein is a licensed pharmacist with more than 25 years of experience in clinical pharmacy, sterile compounding, regulatory compliance, and pharmaceutical quality operations. As Director of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs at Haldey, he oversees clinical standards, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance to help ensure the safe preparation and delivery of compounded medications that meet the highest industry standards.

A graduate of the University of Florida College of Pharmacy, Dr. Bernstein has extensive experience supporting healthcare providers in functional medicine, hormone optimization, IV therapy, dermatology, and personalized medicine. His expertise spans sterile compounding, pharmacy operations, USP compliance, quality systems, and the clinical application of compounded therapies.

As Pharmacy & Sterile Compounding Advisor to the IMU Advisory Board, Dr. Bernstein provides guidance on pharmaceutical best practices, medication safety, regulatory standards, and emerging developments in compounding pharmacy.
